Janick Artiola is the director of the UA Soil, Water, and Plant Analysis Laboratory. Much of his work deals with waste management and environmental remediation, including land treatment of hazardous and municipal wastes, revegetation of flue gas wastes and mine tailings, development of treatment techniques for the remediation of metal contaminated soils and the reclamation of saline soils.
