Research Interests:

Erin Jordan is a PhD Candidate in Arid Land Resource Sciences with a minor in Global Change. She also works full time as a meteorologist at Tucson News Now, the CBS and FOX affiliate located in Tucson, Arizona.

Erin Jordan is researching flood risk perception in arid lands. Her focus is on the Tucson metropolitan area, where high flows in washes can occur year-round. Her goal is to look at how flood control has changed over the years in Tucson along with how people perceive their risk of flooding in order to create a base of knowledge from which to build education efforts. The effects of the education efforts could also be measured against this base of knowledge.
